The director of the Iranian Petroleum Institute Certification Body (IPICB) undertakes to carry out the assessment and certification processes in an independent and impartial manner and to keep confidential the client’s information, while establishing the policy and procedures of IPICB and supervising them.
By performing the respective mechanisms based on impartiality risk management, avoiding conflicts of interests, ensuring the competency of personnel, assessors, auditors, and inspectors, keeping confidential the information, enhancing the transparency in activities, and cooperating with all stakeholders, all personnel involved in carrying out the processes of IPICB are committed to:

a) Comply with the requirements of impartiality in certification activities;
b) Prevent the impairment of impartiality in certification activities due to the commercial, financial and other pressures imposed by the internal and external personnel;

c) Prevent the impairment of impartiality in certification activities due to the structural relationship of IPICB with the Iranian Petroleum Institute (The Iranian Petroleum Institute shall not impose any kinds of direct or indirect financial, mental and commercial pressures on IPICB in line with goals of itself or others. Moreover, all confidential information of IPICB shall be kept strictly confidential and not to be disclosed to any third person).

d) Identify, determine, develop, analyze, and assess the threats related to impartiality risks as well as the ways of eliminating, reducing or minimizing such threats (risks);
e) Announce the impartiality towards the departments involved in design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of the products included in the certification scope of IPICB;
f) Failure to provide consulting services to active or inactive departments in the field of design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of the certified products;
g) Keep confidential the information about customers and refrain from disclosing them, while observing the principles of confidentiality and safekeeping;
h) Respect the rights of the competitors in the market for assessment;
i) Declare their commitment to objectivity and decision-making based on the evidence obtained in assessments.
