Since one of the products certification goals is to help manufacturers in facilitating trade; certification bodies should take steps towards the internationalization of their certifications in order to improve their services and considering the needs of customers and stakeholders,

that requires the global validity of the issued certificates by National Accreditation Center of Iran in the country, which has not yet been achieved regarding the ISO/IEC 17065 standard.

Therefore, according to the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on extending scope of Iranian Petroleum Institute Certification Body (IPICB), which will be the basis for the promotion of domestic production, and the lack of international validity of the NACI/202 accreditation certification, IPICB is going through the process of obtaining accreditation from an accredited AB in this regard. Accordingly, IPICB has announced its unwillingness to renew the certificate No. NACI/202 on 13 Aug. 2022.
