The Director of the Iranian Petroleum Institute Certification Body, IPICB, acknowledges the commitment to independently and impartially implement the assessment and certification processes. This includes establishing the necessary structure, policies, and procedures, as well as monitoring IPICB’s activities. Additionally, the Director ensures that all client information will be kept confidential.
Furthermore, the Director recognizes the importance of impartiality in certification activities, effectively manages conflicts of interest, and guarantees objectivity throughout the certification process.
By performing the respective mechanisms based on impartiality risk management, avoiding conflicts of interest, ensuring the competency of personnel, assessors, auditors, inspectors, and examiners, keeping confidential the information, enhancing the transparency in activities, and cooperating with all stakeholders, all personnel involved in carrying out the processes of IPICB are committed to:

a) Comply with the requirements of impartiality in certification activities;
b) Prevent the impairment of impartiality in certification activities due to the commercial, financial, and other pressures imposed by the internal and external personnel;
c) Prevent the impairment of impartiality in certification activities due to the structural relationship of IPICB with Iranian Petroleum Institute (IPI shall not impose any kinds of direct or indirect financial, mental, and commercial pressures on IPICB in line with goals of itself or others. Moreover, all confidential information of IPICB shall be kept strictly confidential and not to be disclosed to any third person.);
d) Identify, determine, develop, analyze, and assess the threats related to impartiality risks as well as the ways of eliminating, reducing or minimizing such threats (risks);
e) Announce the impartiality towards the departments involved in design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of the products included in the certification scope of IPICB;
f) Failure to provide consulting services to active or inactive departments in the field of design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of the certified products;
g) Keep confidential the information about clients and refrain from disclosing it, while observing the principles of confidentiality and safekeeping;
h) Respect the rights of the competitors in the market for assessment;
i) Declare their commitment to objectivity and decision-making based on the evidence obtained in assessments;
j) Act impartially in relation to applicants, candidates, and certified persons in persons certification process;
k) Policies and procedures for certification of persons are fair among all applicants, candidates, and certified persons;
l) Avoid imposing any unfair restrictions on the certification process, including excessive financial conditions or requirements tied to membership in specific associations or groups, or the use of specific procedures.;
